THEME:ACCELERATING INCLUSIVENESS THROUGH EFFECTIVE PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF NATIONAL AND COUNTY DEVELOPMENT PRIORITIES
The Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA), in collaboration with Maseno University has organized a research and public policy workshop which will take place on the 8th and 9th March 2023, at Maseno University , under the KIPPRA flagship programme called KIPPRA Mentorship Programme for Universities (KMPUs). The programme seeks to mentor university students and faculty for effective participation in public policy formulation, research, policy analysis, and debate. The event brings together university students, lecturers, the government, and the private sector. One of the activities during the event is a public policy debate on a given central theme, which will be “Accelerating inclusiveness through effective planning and implementation of national and county development priorities”.
This is a call for interested students at Maseno University to enter an essay competition by submitting an original essay on the theme. The deadline for submission of the essays is Friday 17th February 2023, after which they will undergo a review process and successful entries will be notified by 20th February 2023.

CALL FOR POEMS, SPOKEN WORD AND SONGS
THEME:NATIONAL VALUES AND PRINCIPLES OF GOVERNANCE
The Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA), in collaboration with Maseno University, has organized a research and public policy workshop which will take place on the 8th and 9th March 2023, at Maseno University, under KIPPRA flagship programme called KIPPRA Mentorship Programme for Universities (KMPUs). The programme seeks to mentor university students and faculty for effective participation in public policy formulation, research, policy analysis, and debate. The event brings together university students, lecturers, the government, and the private sector. One of the key activities during the event will be to sensitize university students, lecturers, government, and private sector participants on Article 10 of the Constitution on “National Values and Principles of Governance”.
This is a call for interested students at Maseno University to submit original poems, spoken word and songs that speak to Article 10 of the Constitution, on the 17 national values and principles of governance, for consideration. The entries will be evaluated, and the top performances will be selected for presentation during the event.
