Maseno University Receives Book Donation from Educate Yourself Limited

Maseno University has received a donation of books from Educate Yourself Limited, in a continued effort to strengthen the availability of academic and learning resources for students. The donation is part of a series of book donations that have been facilitated and coordinated by Dr. Gideon Momanyi, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics, School of Business and Economics, Maseno University. Through the initiative, Dr. Momanyi has continued to mobilise support from external partners towards enhancing access to relevant learning materials for the University community.
The official handover ceremony was held at the Vice-Chancellor’s Boardroom, on 23 rd of September, 2026 bringing together the Vice-Chancellor and other University colleagues.
Speaking during the handover, the Vice-Chancellor acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of Dr. Momanyi in coordinating the initiative and fostering partnerships that contribute to the enhancement of teaching and learning at the University.
 

The Vice-Chancellor noted that access to adequate and relevant learning resources is an important component of a supportive academic environment. The continued mobilisation of books and other educational materials therefore contributes to the University's efforts to provide students with the resources necessary to support their studies and academic development.
The University also expressed its appreciation to Educate Yourself Limited for the generous contribution and for partnering in an initiative that supports education and knowledge development. The books donated were a total of 66 books valued over one million Kenya shillings.

Such partnerships complement the University's efforts to create an enabling environment for teaching, learning, research and innovation.
