Maseno University Celebrates 2nd Culture Week: Theme: Our Culture, Our Heritage, Our Wealth

Maseno University officially launched its 2nd Culture Week on March 25, 2025, under the theme “Our Culture, Our Heritage, Our Wealth.” The event, running until March 28, was introduced by Prof. Rose Ongati, Director of Linkages, Outreach & Consultancies, who highlighted its significance in celebrating cultural diversity.
Event Highlights
The week-long festival features:
- Cultural performances (songs, dances, theater)
- Sports activities
- Exhibition of cultural artifacts
- Traditional cuisine tasting
- Fashion shows and modeling
- Crowning of *Mr. and Miss Culture*

She highlighted the purpose of Culture Week, which is to enhance intercultural interaction. Participants get to know the cultures of other communities, how they dress, their languages, food, and their dances. This makes an immense contribution toward promoting and enhancing nationhood and national identity.
