South-South cooperation is emerging as a crucial framework for advancing sustainable development and tackling common challenges faced by countries in the Global South. By encouraging mutual support and collaboration, these nations can leverage their collective strengths, exchange valuable knowledge, and combine resources to address pressing issues such as poverty, inequality, and educational disparities. The partnership between Gulu University and Maseno University aims to enhance educational opportunities for young people, grounded in the principles of multilateralism, open science, and sustainability. This cooperation emphasizes collaborative research to address both regional and global challenges, with a focus on technology and innovation transfer, resource sharing, and the development of strategic partnerships.
One of the key focus areas of the South-South cooperation between Gulu University and Maseno University is the twinning initiative on technology and innovation transfer.
