Industrial Attachment Briefing Session By School Of Business And Economics On March 28TH 2024

Industrial Attachment briefing was held for all third year Main Campus based School of Business and Economics third year bachelor’s degree students who were to proceed for their attachment placements from May to August 2024. The event was held from 2m to 4pm at the university’s graduation square. Many students and faculty members attended the briefing session. The Director Research and Innovations Prof Collins Ouma who was in attendance  advised the students to be creative and innovative for there were more opportunities for income generating activities, undergraduate research, incubation among others. The Dean, School of Business and Economics Dr. Fredrick Aila encouraged the students to be focused and to project a good image of the University the way their predecessors had previously done. He reminded them that apart from gaining academic skills they also needed to build strategic networks with the Industrial World. Chairs of departments, Dr. Obange N, (Economics), Dr Oloo C., (Business Administration and Management Science), Dr. Ndichu P., (Finance and Accounting) were also in attendance. They advised the students to take the unit seriously for it was a core unit and was very crucial for their career progression. Dr. Mise J. K, the School Attachment Coordinator was appreciated for successfully organizing the event in liaison with student representatives. He guided students on the requirements for Industrial Attachment exercise and advised students to maintain a high level of discipline during the placement period. Other faculty members emphasized the need for well grooming and observation of decorum during the exercise. Students engage the faculty for clarifications and guidance on various issues related to attachment. The meeting ended with a word of prayer from one of the students.
