CERTIFICATE IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

Email Print

INTRODUCTION
The wave of democratization that has swept across the African continent since the early 1990s has increased people’s participation in governance more than ever witnessed before. The resultant political changes have seen Kenya promulgate a new constitution that significantly devolves power to the lower levels of society. Local people are, therefore, expected to play a central role in the administration of their regions. This requires that people have basic knowledge in public administration in order to play an effective role in the governance of their regions. To this end, this programme is designed to introduce students to the basic elements of public administration.
