TOM MBOYA UNIVERSITY COLLEGE GETS FIRST PRINCIPAL

 



Prof. Charles Omondi Ochola
has been appointed as the Acting Principal of Tom Mboya University College by the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Dr. Fred Matiangi.

He joins Tom Mboya University College from Maseno University where he has been Associate Professor of Demography in the School of Environment and Earth Sciences.

Professor Ochola holds a PhD in Demography from the University of Liverpool, UK, MA in Population Studies from the University of Nairobi and BA Geography from the University of Nairobi. He is currently an Associate Professor of Maseno University. He has a wealth of experience in the university as an academician and administrator for over 26 years.
Prof. Ochola joined Maseno University College in 1990 as a lecturer and has progressively advanced to Senior Lecturer and currently Associate Professor. He has held several administrative positions in the University including Director, Student Welfare Services, Chairman Department of Sociology, Coordinator Parallel Programme and a member of Maseno University Council.

Tom Mboya University College in Homa-Bay County was recently gazeted by the Commission of University Education (CUE) as a constituent college of Maseno University.

 The University Council, Management, Senate, Staff and Students take this opportunity to congratulate Professor Ochola on the appointment.
