About the programme :
The MSc. In Infectious Diseases which is offered in the department of Medical Microbiology within the School of Medicine will be a 2- year programme comprising of three terms per year. The programme will provide advance
knowledge in infectious agents and molecular biology in the first year of study and progress to application of the knowledge acquired in generation of new knowledge through research skills in the second year. A final year research thesis must be completed on a topic of choice by each student as a requirement for successful completion of the course.
Admission requirements:
All candidates for the MSc. Infectious Diseases degree programme shall meet the entry requirements for admission into postgraduate degree programmes at Maseno University.
Applicants must be holders of a basic Bachelors degree of Maseno University or any other recognized institution in the fields of Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences, MedicalLaboratory science, Medicine, Nursing, Dental Surgery, Pharmacy and Veterinary Medicine. Applicants from non-English speaking countries must sit, and pass, an English assessment examination set and administered by institutions recognized by the Maseno University Senate.
The procedure for application for admission to Maseno University is as follows:
a) Download and print application forms

or the Office of the Director, Kisumu Campus.
