SETING THE PACE IN eLEARNING.

Maseno University has got into a partnership with the Kenya School of Revenue Administration (KESRA), to support their learning management systems through the eCampus.

The eCampus of Maseno University facilitates online delivery of high quality certificate, diploma and degree programmes to learners in various parts of the country, the East African region and beyond.

This partnership shows that Maseno University is indeed in the lead in pioneering the use of modern technologies to not only realise equitable access to higher education through eLearning but also improve the quality of educational experience for our learners.
To foster the partnership, a delegation led by Dr. Fred Mugambi, Head of KESRA visited Maseno University on 14th June 2018 to meet the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Julius Nyabundi and to get hands on experience on how the eCampus operates.

The eCampus is modeled around a web-based Learning Management System (LMS), electronic community and administrative centers for students and faculty. All programmes offered at the eCampus are primarily delivered through the internet, with students taking sit-in on-campus examinations at the end of each Semester.

KESRA is the Kenya Revenue Authority’s (KRA) premier training school specializing in Tax Administration, Customs Administration and Fiscal Policy. It is one of the only four Regional Training Centres (RTC) of the World Customs Organization (WCO) in Africa, with only South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mauritius having tax and customs training institutions.
