Kenya DAAD Scholars Association Worshop

A two-day workshop on ā€œStrengthening systems and capacity graduate supervision, examination and research publication in the universitiesā€ is underway at Kisumu Hotel.

The purpose of this workshop is to share knowledge and experiences on the best practices that will strengthen systems and build capacities that collate and integrate the past and recent graduate supervision, examination and research publication in the universities for posterity.

Prof. Joseph Chacha, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Partnerships Research and Innovations, officially opened the workshop on behalf of Prof. Julius Nyabundi, Vice-Chancellor Maseno University. In his speech, Prof. Chacha stressed on the need to nurture high level researchers into the society.

He added that with rapid expansion of Kenyan Universities, institutions such as the German Academic Exchange (DAAD), provide an enabling environment for researchers and academia as a whole.

The workshopis organized by Kenya DAAD Scholars Association (KDSA) Maseno University chapter in partnership with German Academic Exchange (DAAD). Itis cohosted byMasindeMuliro University of Science and Technology, JaramogiOgingaOdinga University of Science and Technology, Rongo University, Moi University, Eldoret University, Kisii University, University of Kabianga, Maasai Mara University and Egerton University.
