Kenya women’s championships held successfully at Maseno University.

The 7th edition of the KUSA Women’s National Championshipswas held at Maseno University on 9th to 11th March 2018. The annual event coincided with the commemoration of the International Women’s Day, celebrated across the globe in different ways on 8th March every year.

The event brought together over 25 public and private universities in Kenya which were participating in various games ranging from Badminton, Basketball, Chess, Scrabble, Hockey, Karate, Tae Kwo Ndo, Swimming, Netball, Handball, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Table Tennis, Volleyball, and Goalball.

After the closing ceremony of three days event was presided over by the Manager of the County Office of the Women’s Representative who represented Hon. Rozaah Buyu , Vice- Chairman of Kenya Women Parliamentarians. She was accompanied by Josia Kodjo, Fund Manager,Kisumu County,Evans OkothOsula who is in charge of Youth Affairs in Kisumu County; Martin Mwibanda, Sales and Marketing Manager , AMACO Insurance; Charles Juma Aduogo, Kisumu County Coordinator. Prof Joseph Chacha ,Deputy Vice-Chancellor , Partnership, Research and Innovations in Maseno University represented the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Julius Nyabundi.

The winner in each category was awarded a trophy and a certificate. The event came to a close at 5pm on 11th March 2018.
