US ambassador, Robert Godec courtesy call to Maseno University

US Ambassador to Kenya H.E. Ambassador Robert F. Godec paid an official visit to Maseno University on Wednesday 10th May, 2017.

During the visit, he engaged students in a panel discussion on the need for peaceful elections in Kenya under the theme: “Nishowpower.” The other panelists were Dr. CyprineOduogo, Dean School of Development and Strategic Studies, Juliani, a reknowed Kenyan Musician, Page Omondi, a Communication and Media student at Maseno University.

Mr. Godec also said that he is looking forward to holding sports activities for youths and police that will promote peace. US government is committed to good governance and will continue to have strong partnership with Kenya. He said corruption is what ailing Kenya and something need to be done very first to eliminate it. Kenyans need to say no to graft.
While giving his opening remarks at the panel discussions, Prof. Julius Nyabundi, Vice-Chancellor Maseno University said that the university is looking forward to collaborate with the US Government some courses.

Also present during the panel discussion were Deputy Vice-Chancellors and Deans and directors from various departments.
